KATHMANDU: Are you keeping a dog as a pet animal? If you are doing so, you need to register it.
From now onwards, people have to register thier pet dogs at the respective ward before keeping a dog as a pet animal at home.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City has adopted this policy to register pet dogs to avoid street dogs in the metropolis.
The metropolis in its policy and programs, 2077/78 on Thursday introduced this provision.
Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya said this police has been introduced to well manage pet dogs and maintain sanitation in the metropolis.
