Coronavirus cases jump to 348 in Gandaki Pradesh



KATHMANDU: The number of coronavirus infection cases has reached 348 in Gandki Pradesh after 24 new cases were confirmed on Friday morning.

According to a press note issued by the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh, the newly infected are 14 from Baglung, six from Kaski and two each from Nawalparasi East and Syangja.

Four among 24 infected are females while 20 are males.

Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the Spokesperson for COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program informed that two persons aged 28 and 20 are from Binayatribeni rural municipality of Nawalparasi East, eight and six people including two women are from Galko municipality and Kothekhola rural municipality.  Their age group ranges between 20 to 45.

Similarly, those infected are five people including two women are from Pokhara Metropolitan City and one male from Rupa rural municipality.

Likewise, two males aged 36 of Kaligandaki rural municipality and the other 63 whose address is yet to be ascertained have contracted coronavirus in Syangja district, said Dr Sharma.
