Commerce Department to issue vehicle passes from Sunday
The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection will issue vehicle passes to essential vehicles from Sunday.
After the cancellation of all the passes given earlier, a new pass has been arranged for the firms and companies registered with the department by making the criteria for issuing supply management vehicle passes on Saturday.
The department will issue the required number of blue passes on the basis of justification after the firm or company submits the application in the format provided by the department to the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Federation of Domestic and Small Industries Entrepreneurs and Nepal Chamber of Commerce among others.
NA sending wide body aircraft to China to bring medical supplies
The Nepal Army (NA) is sending a Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) wide body plane to China’s Guangzhou to bring some 18 tons of medical supplies.
The government had bought the medical supplies via NA to combat the spread of the coronavirus in the country. NA Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey said that the plane will land at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday with the supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE) sets, test kits, gloves, and N95 masks, among others.
The NA, which is bringing around 42 tons of supplies from China, had on Saturday imported medical supplies via land route.
Kuwait Civil Aviation issues procedures for expats
The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a procedure concerning the operational procedures to deal with evacuation flights of expats from Kuwait through the Kuwait International Airport.
According to the circular, expatriates leaving from Kuwait will be thoroughly examined at the airport by the Ministry of Health.
The expats then will be given a certificate that they are free from coronavirus. While the procedures for the regular passenger check-in for all International airline flights are through Terminal 1, private flights through T3, Kuwait Airways flights through T4, and Jazeera Airlines through the T5 terminal. For flights departing from Terminal 3, passengers will be tested at the ‘Royal Aviation’ hall, and a certificate of negative for coronavirus will be issued.
Likewise, the notice said that the Ministry of Health will take necessary procedures if the test result is positive.
