Nepal to issue a new political map soon, say sources

KATHMANDU: The Ministry for Land Management is currently working to prepare and present Nepal’s new map, by including the Lipu Lekh and Limpiyadhura to the Cabinet meeting soon.

Minister for Land Management Padma Kumari Aryal is set to present a new map in the cabinet at a time when India has constructed and inaugurated a link road via Lipu Lekh connecting Tibet’s Mansarovar, a source said.

The government had on Friday, in its policy and programs, pledged to issue a new map soon.

Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has criticized the unilateral construction of the road.
