COVID-19 recovered girl suggests: Avoid going out, abide by self-isolation rules



KATHMANDU: A girl who had been at the Teku-based Shukraraj Hospital for 27 days for the treatment of coronavirus has returned home after recovery on Saturday.

The girl had returned to Nepal from France on Mach 17.

Elated at the discharge after recovery, she had shared her experience with the media.

“When I arrived Kathmandu on Mach 17 from France with Doha as transit, I had no symptoms of coronavirus,” she started, “I was in self-isolation at home too, but when one of my Vietnamese classmate informed about being coronavirus positive, I also came to Teku for a test.”

She told that she had no symptoms of coronavirus then, yet, the test report which came two days after showed that she was corona positive.

She had become the second case of coronavirus infection in the country.

According to her, the doctors sent an ambulance to her home.

The team of doctors including Dr. Anup had been assuring her that she would recover soon.

“The doctors and nurses here cared for me professionally and personally. I didn’t miss anything here. I am really satisfied,” the girl shared the environment she enjoyed in the hospital.

“I was in self- isolation at home. I sat alone in the plane as well,” she shared the precautions she took, ‘My precaution prevented the transmission to my family members.”

“The government is working hard to curb the pandemic, we should cooperate by making people abide by isolation regulations,” she further said, “There are many who have not got a chance to get isolation service in other countries, here, please help people receive the service in isolation.”

“Self-isolation is most important on such occasions. If you have come from abroad or other countries join the tests. The government has provided the service here,” she spoke elated, and satisfied, “Don’t make unnecessary movements, don’t go out as far as possible, be in self-isolation, and wear mask, gloves and goggles if you have to go out.”
