Nepal’s second COVID-19 patient leaves hospital

KATHMANDU: Second COVID-19 patient of Nepal got discharged from the Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital on Saturday after 27 days of stay at the hospital.

While getting discharged from the hospital, the 19-year-old girl thanked the doctors involved in treating her.

The girl had arrived in Nepal from France via Qatar transit on March 17. Two other passengers boarding the same flight too were also tested positive for coronavirus.

The girl was in the isolation ward of the hospital since March 23.

Earlier, a male receiving treatment at the hospital had already returned home with recovery. With this, only two tested COVID-19 are undergoing treatment there.

Currently, Nepal has 28 active COVID-19 cases.
