India reports 38 news deaths; total tally climbs to 486

KATHMANDU: India has registered 38 new deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total tally to 486 as of Saturday morning.

According to Worldometer, with 922 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 14, 352.

Currently, 11, 825 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country while 2, 041 have returned home after recovery. The India government has conducted tests on 335, 123 people for Coronavirus so far.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 154,126 and infecting 2,248,037 people as of Saturday morning.
