Three Indian nat’ls held with illegal IRs 1.3 mln



KATHMANDU: Three Indian nationals have been arrested with Indian currency notes worth IRs 1.3 million in Makwanpur and Dhanjusha districts.

Police arrested two Indian nationals with IRs 999,000 from Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City on Tuesday. The arrested are 31-year-old Bijaya Chaudhary and another person whose identity is yet to be established.

A team deployed from Area Police Office, Pashupatinagar intercepted a Bolero jeep with the Indian number plate WB-23-E-2333 and seized the amount aforesaid.

Likewise, police arrested a person with IRs 300,000 (with 2,000 in denomination) with an unclaimed source from Janakpur Airport in Dhanusha district.

The arrested is Shiva Kumar of Muzaffarpur, India.
