Nepalis in South Korea safe from COVID-19

KATHMANDU: Even though the number of foreign nationals infected with COVID-19 has crossed 60 in South Korea, no Nepali national figures in the list.

According to the information provided by the South Korean government, the highest number of the infected includes Chinese nationals.

The South Korean government said 38 Chinese living in South Korea have coronavirus infection followed by seven Americans.

Likewise, two Mongolians, two Vietnamese, two Australians, two Thais, and two Argentines are infected by COVID-19 in South Korea.

Dilliram Bastola, labour attache at the Embassy of Nepal in South Korea, informed that so far no Nepali living in South Korea has been infected by COVID-19.

Till date, 75 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the country and 8,162 people infected by the pandemic.
