Three arrested for alleged involvement in gang rape



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three people in Tinthana of Kathmandu for their alleged involvement in a gang rape case.

The trio had recently raped a girl, 17, inside a truck parked on the roadside in Tinthana of Kathmandu’s Chandragiri-15, police said.

According to DSP Ghana Shyam Shrestha, the chief of Metropolitan Police Circle in Thankot, the arrested are identified as Pasang Tamang, 19, of Sindhuli, Sanjay Gharti Magar, 24, of Dang, and Kapil Khadka, 19, of Ramechhap.

Further investigation is underway, police said.
