PM Oli to celebrate birthday at birthplace in Tehrathum

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to celebrate his birthday at his birthplace at Iwa of Aathrai rural municipality in Tehrathum district on February 23.

”Honorable Prime Minister will celebrate his birthday at Tehrathum this year,” informed Laxman Tiwari, Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and a member of State Assembly of State 1.

All necessary preparations by NCP, people’s representatives and district security team are made to welcome PM who will come by helicopter, said Tiwari who was at PM’s birthplace on Sunday to take stock of the situation.

According to Tiwari, a brief low-key birthday ceremony will be held at PM’S ancestral home located at Iwa of Aathrai Rural Municipality of the district. PM Oli was Born on 23 February 1952.

Later in his adolescent days, his family migrated to Jhapa in 1967. PM Oli repurchased his ancestral home along with 30 ropanis of surrounding land in October 2015 from the then owner of the property Khagendra Tamang.
