KATHMANDU:  Six people including five Korean tourists are being airlifted to Pokhara from a shelter called Himalaya in Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), a popular trekking destination in western Nepal.

Five Korean tourists and one Nepali guide had been rescued and sheltered at a place called at Himalaya yesterday.

Preparation are being made to airlift them in a chopper.

A rescue team comprised of police officials, tourism entrepreneurs and locals has already reached Chhumrung to their rescue, DSP Karki said.

Six people including four Korean tourists and two Nepali guides are still missing in the ABC.
