KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has said the weather will gradually improve from today with the westerly low pressure system subsiding.
The westerly wind that caused rain and snowfall throughout the country on Thursday and Friday is getting weaker resulting in fair weather starting Saturday, according to Barun Poudel, a meteorologist at the Division.
Currently, the weather is partly to generally cloudy throughout the country with chances of light rain at a few places today and snowfall is expected at some places of the high mountainous regions.
The fog in the Kathmandu Valley will clear from 9 am while that of Tarai region will remain for some days, according to the Division.
The rain which had started from Thursday had subsided from Friday evening. Birendranagar had received highest 60 milometers rain yesterday.
