Oli, Prachanda hold one-on-one talks at Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has reached Baluwatar on Friday evening to meet another Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli.

According to a Baluwatar source, discussions were held in today’s meeting regarding the implementation of the agreement reached between the two Chairmen.

Before the meeting of the Standing Committee on Wednesday, the two Chairpersons had agreed to withdraw the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council and the letter to be submitted before President requesting to convene the Parliament meeting.

However, the government has not yet decided on repealing the ordinance.

Meanwhile, a gathering of the NCP disgruntled leaders has concluded to take further steps if Prime Minister Oli doesn’t withdraw the ordinance on Constitutional Council.

A gathering of NCP leaders of the district and central members from Province 1 loyal to NCP Executive Chairman Prachanda and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal held at Perisdanda reached a conclusion to that end, said Central Committee member Jagannath Khatiwada.
