KATHMANDU: Supreme Court (SC) will not hear the case filed against Speaker Agni Sapkota today.

The SC website states that the case will not be heard on Friday owing to time constraint.

A constitutional bench comprising Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana, Justices Deepak Kumar Karki, Meera Khadka, Hari Krishna Karki and Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha were scheduled to hear Sapkota’s case.

Earlier, this writ had been scheduled for hearing on March 13 but was postponed citing busy schedule.

On March 5, 2008, Purnamaya Lama of Kave had filed a writ petition at the apex court accusing Sapkota of murdering her husband Arjun Lama. The writ petition had been registered following the SC’s order.

Lama had been abducted from Shree Krishna Secondary School on April 19, 2005.

The dead body of Lama, who was abducted by the Maoist cadres on April 30, 2005, had been found at Charkilo of Budakhani of Kavre district.
