Kathmandu Valley witnesses 1,038 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 1,038 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 822 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 48 in Bhaktapur and 168 in Lalitpur

Meanwhile, as many as 1,442 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 2,12,917 with fresh cases as of Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 6,731 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours.

A total of 3,538 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 1,82,780 in the country.

Nepal currently has 28,878 active cases.

Likewise, 910 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 12 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,259, the Ministry confirmed.
