KATHMANDU: General Secretary of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Bishnu Paudel met with NCP Vice Chairman Bam Dev Gautam this morning and discussed on resolving the ongoing intra-party rift.

Paudel, who is also the Finance Minister, is considered close to Prime Minister KP Oli.

It may be recalled that Paudel had on Tuesday reached NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence in Khumaltar and proposed to defer the meeting of the Secretariat scheduled for today.

Sources said Paudel also urged Gautam to play role to avert any unfortunate circumstance in the party.
