One killed, five injured in Tanahun road mishap



KATHMANDU: A person has died after a microbus met with an accident at Byas municipality-5 in Tanahun district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Sunita Gurung of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Tallo Gagangaunda.

According to District Police Office, Tanahun, the ill-fated Hiace  microbus, Ga 1 Kha 2942, heading to Manhukot from Pokhara skidded off and fell some 600 meters down the road near Manhunkot.

Five people sustained injuries in the accident.  The injured are undergoing treatment at Damauli-based Ratna Hari Hospital, informed Resham Ranabhat of District Traffic Police Office, Tanahun.
