Will NCP hold its Secretariat Committee meeting today?



KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is holding its Secretariat Committee meeting on Wednesday as per the previous agreement.

However, there have speculations that the meeting may be be postponed as Prime Minister Oli wants to defer the meeting while another Chairman Push Kamal Dahal is for holding the meeting.

There have been many political developments during the period.

On the eve of the secretariat meeting, Prime Minister KP Oli and Dahal went to Shital Niwas to meet with President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Tuesday evening.

Few hours after Dahal made an exit from Sital Niwas, Oli went to meet with President Bhandari.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi also met with Prime Minister Oli at 8:10 pm yesterday.

According to a highly-placed source, Ambassador Yanqi went to Baluwatar in an effort to avert the imminent split of the NCP.
