One killed, 11 injured in Lamjung jeep mishap



BESISAHAR:  A person has died in a Balero jeep accident in Lamjung district. The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Suni Gurung of Dordi rural municipality-5, Chhatigaun.

As many as 11 people sustained injuries in the accident. According to District Police Office, Lamjung, the injured are Prakash Gurung, 20, Nirajan Gurung, 15, Suresh Gurung, 17, of Dordi-5 and Pancha Bahadur Tamang of Dordi-4.

The other injured are Dukhit Gurung, 35, Dipshan Gurung, 5, of Dordi-5, driver Makkan Singh Gurung, 37, Manisha Gurung, 42, Ashika Gurung, 10, of Phojung, Niranjan Gurung, 16, and Nirjala Gurung, 8, of Dordi-5. The injured are undergoing treatment at Lamjung District Community Hospital, Besisahar, said Police Inspector Om Prakash Pun of DPO, Lamjung.

The accident took place when a Baloro jeep, Ga 1 Ja 2127, heading to Pachok of Dordi from district headquarters Besisahar skidded off the road and plunged into Kisedi rivulet on Tuesday evening.
