Cold grips Kathmandu as mercury dips to 6 degree Celsius

KATHMANDU: The temperature is decreasing day by day, with the lowest temperature recorded in Jumla district.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the temperature was recorded at minus 1.6 degree in Jumla on Tuesday. Similarly, the temperature of the Kathmandu Valley also plummeted on Tuesday. According to the Division, the temperature was recorded at 6 degree Celsius in the capital.

Issuing a bulleting on Wednesday, MFD has said the temperature has gone down in various parts of the country with foggy weather in the Tarai region affecting the transport system both air and road due to poor visibility.

The weather is partly cloudy in the hilly region in Sudurpaschim Pradesh and generally fair weather in the rest of the country, according to the Division.
