Kathmandu Valley records 1,698 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 1,698 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,469 persons in Kathmandu, 130 in Lalitpur, and 99 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Nepal has recorded as many as 2,942 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, with the recent data, the total number of cases reached 132,246 in the country as of Sunday afternoon.

Likewise, 12 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the tally of coronavirus caused deaths in the country to 739, the Ministry confirmed.
