With 77 cases in Bara, Province 2 witnesses 140 COVID-19 cases

JANAKPURDHAM: With 77 new cases of coronavirus pandemic in Bara, Province 2 witnessed 140 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

According to Bijaya Jha, the Acting Director of Health Directorate of Province 2, the province saw 77 coronavirus cases in Bara, 29 in Saptari, 15 in Parsa, eight in Siraha, six in Dhanusha, four in Rautahat and one in Mahottari in the last 24 hours.

He said that there have been 36 cases in women and 104 in men among the new cases of Friday.

With the new cases, the coronavirus pandemic cases in the province have reached to 12,744.

Jha added that there have been 2,000 cases in women and 10,744 cases in men so far.

The province bade 66 coronavirus patients goodbye to their home after recovery, making the number of recovered cases 6,916 to date.

In the meantime, with two more coronavirus related deaths on Friday, the number of the coronavirus death toll in the province has reached 115.
