Two including septuagenarian die in road accidents



KATHMANDU: Two people have died in separate road accidents in Makwanpur and Saptari districts.

The deceased has been identified as 76-year-old Purna Lal Shrestha of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City-2, Chauki. According to police, the septuagenarian died after being hit by a motorcycle, Na 64 Pa 5306, at Chauki of the sub metropolis.

Critically injured Shrestha died in the course of treatment at Chure Hill Hospital. Police said they are searching the motorcyclist who is at large after hitting the elderly.

Similarly, a 55-year-old man has died in a road accident in Saptari district.

The deceased has been identified as Purna Bahadur Basnet of Udayapur Triyuga Municipality-6, according to police.

Basnet died after an auto rickshaw in which he was travelling collided head-on with a bullock cart at Tinkune in Surunga municipality-1, Saptari district on Thursday evening.

Critically Basent who was rushed to Saptarishi Hospital died in the course of treatment.
