Sub-engineer dragged to court for graft



KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Gajendra Prasad Jaiswal, sub-engineer of Water Resources and Irrigation Development Division, Bara.

The anti-graft body filed a case against Jaiswal at Special Court on Tuesday on charges of soliciting a bribe for payment of river embankment project.

He was arrested with Rs 80,000 kickback. The CIAA has demanded the confiscation of the amount and an equal fine as per the Anti-Corruption Act.
