Sankhu reports 15 coronavirus cases

KATHMANDU: With an upsurge in the coronavirus cases in the Kathmandu Valley, as many as 15 coronavirus cases were reported in Shankarapur municipality in Sankhu.

The infected are undergoing treatment in home isolation and Sushma Memorial Hospital, Sankhu, said Health Division Chief of the municipality Bishnu Prasad Chapagain.

They were found infected among 262 PCR tests carried out in the municipality in the past one week. A contract tracing of those who came into contact with the infected is also taking place, Chapagain said.

The municipality is mulling to impose a semi-lockdown, restricting people’s movement in the area after the coronavirus cases increased.
