Sandeep’s team to play its CPL match on Wednesday



KATHMANDU: Caribbean Premier League (CPL), where Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is playing, is taking place from today. CPL would begin at 7:45 pm at Trinidad and Tobago.

Sandeep would play his first match at 7:45 pm on Wednesday.

Sandeep’s team Jamaica Tallawah would play its first match against Saint Lucia. Sandeep said that he is very excited to play CPL.

Releasing his statement through social site, Sandeep said he is very happy to get chance to play cricket after long gap following coronavirus pandemic.

Sandeep had left here for Trinidad and Tobago on a chartered flight of Korean Air on July 30 to play CPL, as regular domestic and international flights have been closed due to coronavirus pandemic.

Sandeep underwent PCR test for coronavirus for two times during this period and his test report was negative. He has already played in CPL two times. The CPL would take place till September 10.
