KATHMANDU: Eight new coronavirus cases have been detected in Gandaki Pradesh on Tuesday morning.

According to a press note issued by the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh, four people from Pokhara Metropolitan City and two each from Nawalparasi East and Baglung have tested positive for coronavirus.

The new cases were confirmed during tests at the laboratory of Regional Tuberculosis Center, Pokhara.

The Ministry said preparations are underway to send the infected to the isolation wards of their respective districts.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases in Gandaki Pradesh has climbed to 1,764.
