Three joint secys recommended for ambassadors

KATHMANDU: The government has recommended three joint secretaries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for ambassadors.

A cabinet meeting held on Monday recommended joint secretaries Gehendra Raj Bhandari, Tapas Adhikari and Ramji Khadka for ambassadors.

However, even though the recommendation was made, the countries they were recommended to have not been unveiled.

Joint secretaries can be recommended for ambassadors as per the provision of the existing law of Nepal.

Similarly, the cabinet meeting decided to appoint Durga Bhandari as the acting chairman of Press Council. Bhandari had been picked as a member of the Council only few days ago.

Likewise, Dr Kalyan Rokka has been appointed as the acting vice chairman of Youth and small enterprises self-employment  fund.
