COVID-19: 137 new cases confirmed in Sudurpaschim Province



DHANGADHI: A total of 137 new cases have been confirmed in Sudurpaschim Province on Thursday.

A test conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu confirmed coronavirus in an additional 137 people in three districts of the Province.

A total of 83 in Dadeldhura, 29 in Achham and 25 in Baitadi have been confirmed to be infected.

Chief of the Health Office, Baitadi, Yogesh Prasad Bhatta, said that the PCR reports of 25 people who returned home from different parts of India and stayed in quarantine came positive.

Similarly, coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 29 people in Achham.

According to Jhanak Dhungana, chief of the health office, 23 people have been found infected in Mellekh Rural Municipality and six in Sanphebgar municipality.

Coronavirus has been confirmed in 83 more people in Dadeldhura district, said Hari Prasad Bhat, COVID-19 contact person of Dadeldhura. With this, the number of coronavirus infections in the district has reached 122.
