Separate quarantine for women in Pokhara



POKHARA: The Pokhara Metropolitan City has managed separate quarantine for women.

It has changed the Buddha Hospital at Ward No 3 into a quarantine for women coming home from abroad.

The hospital, which has 50 beds, was left unused for a long time. The hospital was inspected by officers from the Metropolitan City, Deputy Mayor Manju Devi Gurung and Ward No 3 Chairperson Rabindra Bahadur Praju.

Deputy Mayor Gurung directed the subordinate bodies to prepare a 20-bed quarantine following the inspection.

The quarantine facility should not accommodate the health workers and security persons, according to her. Gurung further informed, “Eight women are coming to Pokhara from India.
