Karki, who misbehaved with Dr Karki, arrested



KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested a person on the charge of misbehaving with Dr Narayan Karki, Director of Bagmati Provincial Public Health Laboratory, on Saturday.

Police arrested a man identified as Uttam Karki of Chandragiri, Kathmandu alleging him of misbehaving with the health official.

A video showing Karki and some other locals unnecessary interrogating Dr Karki when he was entering the Valley on Saturday had gone viral on social media.

The youth had asked him whether he had taken precautionary measures during his journey, and had searched his belongings.

This act of the youth was widely criticized on social media.

Chief of the Metropolitan Police Range, SSP Shyam Lal Gyawali said Karki will be charged under the law on indecent behaviors.
