Police probing ‘mysterious’ death of medical entrepreneur in Biratnagar

BIRATNAGAR: Morang Police has initiated a probe in the ‘mysterious’ death of a medical entrepreneur of Biratnagar who was declared dead by Koshi Hospital on Sunday morning.

Medical entrepreneur Devi Prasad Dulal an inhabitant of Itahari-12, Khanar and the dealer of Devi Maa Pathibhara Pharma was declared dead at 3 am on Sunday by the hospital.

Dulal, 33, who was living in a rented flat in Biratnagar -10 was found with bruises on hand, neck, nose and left eye when he was taken to Koshi Hospital.

Claiming that he felt restless his wife Mina Shrestha Dulal, neighbor Kalyan Rajbanshi and a medical entrepreneur Dhan Bahadur Kafle had rushed him to hospital.

DSP Man Bahadur Rai, the spokesperson of Morang Police informed the media that the police have initiated investigation on the cause of Dulal’s death as his death seems ‘unnatural and mysterious’.

“The deceased has bruises on nose, neck, and left eye and the blood was seen oozing from his mouth,” spokesperson Rai said, “There is the mark of rope on his neck as well.”

Morang Police has taken the deceased wife Mina and the medical entrepreneurs Dhan Bahadur Kafle and Harimohan Shrestha in custody for further investigation.

The dead body is held in the hospital for postmortem.
