NA barrack sealed after two including Mid-Eastern Division head infected

BARDIBAS: The entire barrack of Nepal Army (NA) has been sealed after a coronavirus infection was found in two personnel including the Mid-Eastern Division head.

Coronavirus infection was confirmed in a doctor along with Division Head on Saturday. There are some 2,000 troops in the barrack.

Troops have been barred from moving in and have been directed to maintain social distance to prevent the spread of the disease.

Chief District Officer of Mahottari Surya Bahadur Khatri said that the two have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.

CDO Khatri informed that the two were sent to the isolation of the Armed Police Force in Kathmandu on Saturday in an army vehicle.

Both the infected people had been collecting swabs at different places in Province 2.
