Docs heading to Barhabise after death of woman from COVID-19



KATHMANDU: A team of doctors is heading for Barhabise Municipality-9, Ramche of Sindhupalchowk after a 29-year-old woman died from coronavirus.

A team including expertise doctors is being sent to investigate the death of a woman for the first time in Nepal due to coronavirus infection.

The team will study around the house of the deceased woman, her native village and the people who came in contact with her in the surrounding area.

According to the Health Ministry, a post-natal mother died while being taken to Dhulikhel Hospital on Thursday.

Her swab sample was tested at the hospital and reconfirmed at the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory.

The 29-year-old woman had been admitted to Kathmandu based Teaching Hospital on May 5 for childbirth and was discharged on May 7 after a normal delivery.

The woman had returned to her home in Sindhupalchowk after the delivery where she developed the symptoms like high fever and respiratory hazards.
