Thundershowers forecast for today

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted brief rain/thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds and hail at a few places of the eastern region and western and central hilly region towards afternoon/late afternoon.

In a weather bulletin issued for Sunday, the met office stated that the weather will be generally cloudy in the eastern region and partly cloudy in the central and western hilly regions and mainly fair in the rest of the country.

At night brief rain/thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds and hail is likely to occur at one or two places of the eastern region, according to MFD.

Currently, the country seems to be under the influence of local winds.

The met office has requested to be cautious as there is a possibility of thunder/lightning /hail and windy rain in a few places in the central and western hilly areas including the eastern part in the next 24 hours.
