Woman who died of coronavirus cremated in electric crematorium

KATHMANDU: A 29-year-old woman from Sindhupalchowk who died of coronavirus infection was cremated at Pashupati in the capital on Saturday night.

Member Secretary of Pushpati Area Development Fund Pradip Dhakal said that the body of the woman was cremated in an electric crematorium.

According to Dhakal, the dead body was taken to Pashupati Aryaghat at 9 pm on Saturday.

As the woman died due to coronavirus, only security personnel wearing PPE and two relatives were present to cremate the body.

The Pashupati area was sealed off before the dead body was brought.
