NEPSE suffers double-digit fall



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by double-digit on the last trading day of the week on Thursday.

The NEPSE index fell by 22.70 points and closed at 2,032.51 points.

Similarly, the Sensitive Index, which measures the trading volume of large companies, declined by 1.04 points to 385.94.

A total of 14,114,460 shares of 195 companies were traded worth Rs 6.76 million.

According to NEPSE, out of the total 12 sub-indices traded, only the shares of the microfinance sub-index have risen today. The sub-index rose by 9.28 points.

Similarly, Banking declined by 11.4 points, Trade by 58.01, Hotel by 32.06, Development Bank by 16.68, Hydropower by 27.36, Finance by 8.39, Non-life Insurance by 135.59, Manufacturing by 35.1, Others by 32.45, Life Insurance declined by 274.27 points and Collective Investment Funds by 0.07 points.
