Technology in the 21st century has affected almost everything people do today besides influencing our plans for the future.

People these days have been constantly enjoying the benefits of technology, including social media to connect.

The 21st century has brought to us many inventions in science and technology with some of the best inventions.

However, these inventions and technology sometimes can be ruinous if not properly handled.

Social media, meanwhile, has become quite popular these days due to its user-friendly features.

Social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram has helped people to connect.

The youth is especially one of the most dominant users of social media. Therefore, youths should be extremely cautious while using social media to imparting a positive message and impact on people.

However, trolling, harassing, or criticizing others on social media platforms can be problematic.

Social media, in fact, has both positive and negative impacts on its users. Nowadays, due to the huge impact of social media, students have diverted their attention focusing on social media rather than on their studies.

A person grows socially and getting well informed of the matters that are happening around the world.

It reinforces bonds with their cherished ones as social media provides people the platform to quickly interact with their friends and relatives abroad.

It also provides a platform for the youths to showcase their talents through electronic media.

One of the many positive aspects of social media is it can be a magnificent source of education as learners and enthusiasts can learn themselves through social media.

Harassment is associated with an increased risk of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder as well as diminished self-esteem and self-confidence.

However, social media can turn out to be devious because of the oversharing instances on social media.

It also leads to cyber bullying or even personal attacks. Social media is such a platform where people can express their opinion and showcase their talents.

However, trolling, harassing, or criticizing others on social media platforms can be problematic.

According to Article 18 of the Constitution of Nepal, all citizens are equal before the law. No discrimination shall be made in the application of general laws on grounds of gender, caste, and culture, etc.

Therefore, when surfing social media, people come across varied opinions – both good and bad — which sometimes can even turn into hatred.

In fact, all genders in our society must be respected as everyone has the right to live or express their feelings freely.

Trolls, sometimes, create conflict on social media sites by making controversial statements.

The LGBT in our society even has their right to live freely. Therefore, no one can raise a question about their likes and dislikes.

Everybody – regardless of sex – using digital platforms, should be responsible for their statements and must be mindful of the fallout or the consequences of their statements.

LGBT people around the world face violence and inequality and sometimes even torture. Sexual orientation and gender inequality are integral aspects of our selves and should never lead to discrimination or abuse.

As a responsible citizen, everyone should take a stand for all the citizens of our country whether they are LGBT, male, and female. We need to respect everyone and let all live peacefully and happily.

Their lives, too, are complicated so we should not react to their videos or troll them to make their life more complex.

Our content might be just for fun but we mustn’t insult or harass them. It affects the mental health of every person.

Harassment is associated with an increased risk of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder as well as diminished self-esteem and self-confidence.

We need to let all people live the way they want to and make their choices themselves.

We do not have the right to interfere in others’ lives for the sake of fun as such posts or videos could hurt their feelings.

Instead of making fun of them, people need to interact with them and support them as they also have some unique qualities.

The government should formulate stringent laws against cyberbullying and trolling.

As a responsible citizen, everyone should take a stand for all the citizens of our country whether they are LGBT, male, and female. We need to respect everyone and let all live peacefully and happily.
