Airport security police housing constructed at TIA



KATHMANDU: Airport Security Police Housing has been constructed at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Construction of the housing has been completed for the 350 security personnel deployed for the security of the airport.

Inaugurating the newly constructed building on Tuesday, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, said that discussion was underway with bodies concerned regarding the formation of a separate unit for the security of the airport.

General Manager of the airport, Devendra KC, shared that the three-story building, spread over an area of 2500 square feet, was constructed at the cost of Rs 71.51 million.

The construction of the building was completed two months after the deadline due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
