Forest ranger caught with Rs 12,000 bribe



BUTWAL: A team of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested forest ranger Prem Chandra BK from Rupandehi on Saturday morning with a bribe of Rs 12,000.

A team deployed from CIAA Butwal office arrested BK working at the Sub-Divisional Forest Office, Murgiya.

According to CIAA Spokesperson Suresh Bhushal, the investigation team took BK under control on the basis of information that he demanded bribe from the service recipient for facilitating the transportation of timber.

Bhushal stated that further investigation is underway after taking him under control from Saina Maina-6 Kaluni Chowk at around 8:45 am.
