Kavre sees fall in coronavirus cases, only 5 confirmed today



KAVRE: Kavre district has seen a sudden fall in coronavirus cases on Saturday.

The district which had seen 37 new cases on Friday saw only five new cases on Saturday.

According to a high-ranking official at the District Health Office, Kavre, the district used to see 30-58 cases for last few days and had seen 37 cases on Friday also.

Offering the weekly case details, the official informed that the district had seen 43 and 37 COVID-19 cases on Sunday and Monday which further increased to 58 on Tuesday. Wednesday got 40 cases added to the coronavirus case tally whereas Thursday there had been 31 positive cases.

Including Saturday’s case, the district has got 1,210 coronavirus cases till Saturday evening.

According to Narendra Kumar Jha, the Chief of District Health Office, 653 people have been discharged after recovery from various isolation centers in the districts.

Jha informed that Kavre witnessed 18 coronavirus related death out of which 13 are the inhabitant of Kavre district whereas rest 5 were the people from other districts who died in Kavre.

Among 5 cases of Saturday’s new cases, 4 are from Dhulikhel Municipality and 1 more from Namobuddha.

Kavre witnessed the CIVUD-19 related death of a 73-year-old male of Banepa today.
