Province Minister Chaudhary infected with COVID-19



KATHMANDU: Minister for physical infrastructure development of Lumbini Baijanath Chaudhary has tested positive to Coronavirus.

The spokesperson of the Lumbini government, Chaudhary was confirmed positive in a PCR test carried out on Friday.

Along with Minister Chaudhary, his wife, personal security guard, driver and cook have also tested positive.

Earlier, 35 persons including Speaker of the State Assembly Purna Bahadur Gharti, deputy Speaker Krishni Tharu, Minister for Internal Affairs Kul Prasad KC, state assembly members, staffers and security personnel were confirmed COVID-19 positive, according to State Assembly Public Health Director Dilaram Bhusal.
