Traders penalized for fleecing customer



CHITWAN: Five traders have been punished for cheating customers. They were fined Rs. 50,000 each after being found guilty by a visiting team of inspectors.

The inspection was carried out by a joint team of Commerce Office, District Administration Office and District Police Office in Chitwan on Friday.

The traders were not found to have put a price list and also not giving customers receipt for their purchase.

Those penalized are Akhanda Shrstha of Nirjala Stores, Narbo Tamang of Sunita Food Industry, Manoj Kumar Agrawal of Sri Balaji Trades, Bishnu Prasad Poudel of Sulav Khadya Bhandari and Santosh Bajaj of Shubham Fruit Traders, according to assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma. The action was taken as per the Consumer Protection Act, 2075. RSS
