NEW DELHI: Former India cricketer Chetan Chauhan died on Sunday after suffering a cardiac arrest in the hospital. He was 73.
He was admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram and was undergoing treatment on ventilator support after he developed blood pressure and kidney issues on Friday.
Chauhan, who was also a cabinet minister in Uttar Pradesh government, had tested positive for coronavirus in July.
Chauhan played 40 Tests between 1969 and 1978 and scored 2084 runs at an average of 31.57 with 97 being his highest score, according to India Today.
