Septuagenarian man dies from coronavirus in Nepal



KATHMANDU: A septuagenarian man has died from coronavirus in Nepal.

The man, who was in his early 70s, died while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan on Thursday night.

“He tested positive for coronavirus at 5 pm yesterday and died at 10:30 pm,” accoording to hospital sources.

The elderly had been admitted to the hospital on Wednesday. The patient of cardiac ailment, the elderly showed symptoms of fever and cough during the admission.

The hospital was treating him in isolation after he was diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Preparations are underway to safely dispose the body, said the sources.
