Banke woman who died on Monday diagnosed with coronavirus



BANKE: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in a woman who died while undergoing treatment at the Nepalgunj Medical College in Kohalpur, Banke.

The 46-year-old woman, who was being treated at the hospital’s ICU, had died on Monday evening.

According to Chief District Officer of Banke district Ram Bahadur Kurumbang, her report came out positive on Tuesday evening.

Hospital sources said she was also suffering from pneumonia, and was admitted to the hospital after her health condition deteriorated.

This is the second COVID-19 related death in Banke district.

Earlier, a 25-year-old youth had died due to coronavirus infection in the district.
