Health Ministry sends team to find cause of death of Sindhupalchowk woman

KATHMANDU:  The Ministry of Health and Population has sent a team of medical experts to Dhulikhel Hospital to find out the cause of death of the woman who had recently died while undergoing treatment there.

Speaking in the live update of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Bikash Devkota the spokesperson assured all to update the real cause behind the death of the woman who had died while undergoing treatment in Dhulikhel Hospital.

Earlier, Spokesperson Dr. Devkota had updated that after noticing the symptoms like high fever and difficulty in breathing, the woman was being brought to Dhulikhel Hospital and she died on the way.

According to Dr. Devkota, the 29-year-old woman had been admitted to Kathmandu based Teaching Hospital on May 5 for childbirth and was discharged after a normal delivery on May 7.

“The woman had returned to her home in Sindhupalchowk after the delivery where she developed the symptoms like high fever and respiratory hazards and was being brought to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment,” Dr. Devkota said, “Unfortunately she died while being brought to the hospital.”

Spokesperson Devkota has promised to provide the details of the incident after further study about the cause of the death.
