PARASI: Chief District Officer of Nawalparasi, Basu Dev Dahal, has instructed security forces to force the ‘hesitant’ Campus Chief of Tribhuvan Multiple Campus, Belatari to the quarantine center established nearby if he did not agree to go to quarantine.

Addressing to the concern of the public terrified of prospective coronavirus infection from the Campus Chief — a recent returnee from India — the CDO of Nawalparasi ordered the security forces to hold him under control and force him to the quarantine.

Manoj Dhar Dube, the Campus Chief of Tribhuvan Campus Belatari, who returned to Nepal from India 3 days ago, had been refusing to abide by the mandatory quarantine provisions saying he would rather stay in home quarantine.

However, the locals are panicked at the idea that he might stroll around in the locality exposing all of them to the infection risk. The local authority has made a quarantine in the same campus.

Criticized formerly for letting Dubey live in his quarter under political influence, the administration has ordered the police to force him to live in quarantine set up in the campus.

The Chief District Officer has threatened to send him back to the place he came from provided Dubey refused to be in the quarantine.

“Even the person who has the residence nearby the quarantine should also join the quarantine set up by the local authority,” CDO Dahal said, “ I have ordered the police to send the person back to the place he came from provided he refutes to abide by the laws.”

There are 52 people in quarantine set up in the campus based quarantine.
