COVID-19 Emergency Operation Centre set up in Sudur Paschim province



KANCHANPUR: A meeting of the Province Crisis Management Centre (PCMC) has decided to set up COVID-19 Emergency Operation Centre in the Sudur Paschim Province.
Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta, who is the coordinator of the PCMC, chaired the meeting.

The Under Secretary at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers and at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law will function as the coordinator of the emergency operation center on a rotation basis.

Province government spokesman and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Prakash Bahadur Shah said the meeting on Wednesday also decided to include the representatives of the Nepal Army, the Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and the National Investigation Department as members of the emergency operation center.

The emergency operations center has also been assigned the responsibility of facilitating the response and relief coordination, reporting to the PCMC and preparing the upcoming strategy and work plan for prevention of COVID-19.
